A cafe that opened less than three weeks ago has already secured itself as the new neighbourhood coffee nook for southern Gold Coast locals.
Lobby Currumbin owner DJ Swan said the community has welcomed the business with open arms since its launch on November 5.
“It’s such a great community of people here,” he said.
“There’s artists, construction workers, beer brewers, designers and florists.”
Mr Swan said the space took 12 months to build, design and transform into their version of a hotel lobby.
“I wanted my children to see us building a business and it be close to home and accessible to them,” he said.
The new eatery – which is a stone’s throw away from Balter Brewing Company and Dust Temple – can seat up to 40 people.
Mr Swan said their eggplant jaffle and caramel and white chocolate cookies “were going wild”.
