Five injured, three serious, from Gold Coast crashes in Helensvale and Numinbah Valley
Five people have been rushed to hospital following serious crashes on the Gold Coast, police are asking for information.

Five people have been rushed to hospital, three in a serious condition, following two crashes on the Gold Coast.
Two men aged in their 20s are in a serious condition following a multi-vehicle crash on Hope Island Rd at the Gold Coast on Friday.
Early police investigations indicate a 26-year-old male driver was travelling southbound on Hope Island Rd at Helensvale before he lost control of his car, crossed over a median strip and struck a tree on the opposite side of road at around 4pm on Friday.
The High Acuity Response Unit assessed the man and his 24-year-old male passenger on scene, before transporting both patients to the Gold Coast University Hospital with serious injuries.
Both remain in a serious condition.
Police are asking witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact them.
The 26-year-old man was believed to be driving a 2008 red Kio Rio sedan westbound on Hope Island Road when the incident occurred.
Later at about 4.30pm paramedics treated three people after a motorbike and a car crashed at the intersection of Nerang Murwillumbah Road Chesters Road, Numinbah Valley on Friday.
Three patients were taken to Gold Coast University Hospital.
One is in a serious condition and the other two are in a stable condition.
Emergency fire services were called to put out a scrub fire as a result of the crash.
The Nerang Murwillumbah Rd was closed with a Forensic Crash Unit investigating the site.
