Bystanders have rushed in to help the driver and passenger of an “obliterated” Mercedes Benz after a car crashed into a power pole on Sunday morning.
Emergency services were called to Helensvale Rd near Siganto Dr, Helensvale at 11.11am.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said two patients were transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Witnesses say it appeared the vehicle lost control when it hit the pole, with smoke seen coming from the bonnet and all airbags deployed – stating the vehicle had been “obliterated”.
