A food delivery driver has outraged the internet after a northern Gold Coast resident posted security footage of his “WTF” moment.
The video, posted to a Facebook community group on Wednesday by a Coomera resident, has divided locals, with some defending the driver but the majority saying he was in the wrong.
The delivery driver can be seen turning into the driveway of the Coomera resident’s home in his blue BMW, opening the driver door and depositing the food in the middle of the driveway before making a hasty exit.
Some Facebook users said the driver was using “his time well”, whereas others declared they’d never use the provider again.
“Wtaf y (sic) have a delivery job if u (sic) can’t even be bothered to deliver the s**t properly,” one person commented.
Another said: “It’s amazing people still use this service, soooooooooo (sic) many bad stories, I used it once and food arrived stone cold, never again.”
Some punters said the driver was “lazy”, however one Facebook user called it a “genius” tactic.
“Can’t even fault it, pretty genius,” they wrote.
“Time is money. This guy obviously uses his time well to have a BMW like that from delivering food,” another said.
Nearly 200 people commented on the post before comments were switched off.
A Menulog spokesman said Menulog asked all couriers to hand orders directly to the customer where possible, unless otherwise instructed by the customer’s order notes.
