A MAMMOTH effort by the Gold Coast health workers, Queensland Ambulance Service, police and other private aged care homes has seen all Earle Haven Nursing home residents relocated.
The urgent relocation was triggered by staff at the Nerang yesterday afternoon after the existing health care contractor HelpsStreet exited the facility over a contract dispute.
Public health staff who stepped in to pick up the pieces finished at 1am last night after moving over 70 residents to nursing facilities homes across the Gold Coast.

Family members of some of the residents told the Bulletin late last night that they had begun to move all of their possessions out of the home.
“We found out where they were but are unable to make contact because it is so late.”
“I don’t know how any of these patient are coping if they don’t have family locally.
“Right now we are working to clear out everything.”
The Queensland Health Minister Steven Miles is expected to speak with media about the matter later today.
