Man suffers serious head and chest injuries in Coomera e-scooter crash
A man has been left with serious head and chest injuries after an e-scooter crash in the city’s north.

A MAN has suffered serious injuries after an e-scooter crash in the Gold Coast’s north on Friday night.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Daintree Drive in Coomera at 8.28pm, after reports of an incident involving an e-scooter and a vehicle.
The man in his 20s suffered serious head and chest injuries. He was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital with the High Acuity Response Unit on-board.
It’s understood he was not wearing a helmet at the time.

GOLD Coast commuters were hit with delays of an hour in both directions after a woman allegedly drove her car onto tracks over the Sundale Bridge in the early hours of Friday morning.
TransLink blamed an “object on the tracks” for the delay, warning passengers trams were delayed for 60 minutes in both directions.
Police were called to reports of Volksqagon Tiguan on the tram line near the bridge around 3.10am.
After searching the area they found a woman nearby on the Gold Coast Highway at Surfers Paradise, allegedly the driver of the vehicle.
She returned an alleged breath test of 0.15 – three times the legal limit.
The 46-year-old Pacific Pines woman has been charged with driving under the influence of liquor. She will face Southport Magistrates Court on January 12, 2022.

Drivers have reported seeing a car being pulled off tracks about halfway along the bridge.
