MILLIONAIRE businesswoman Katie Page is slashing the price of her luxury Kingscliff beach house in a new bid to sell it.
The co-owner of Magic Millions alongside her husband, Harvey Norman co-founder Gerry Harvey, Ms Page is selling 14 North Point Ave for $3.35 million.
It is her second go at selling the property after it was unable to fetch $6 million in 2009. Ms Page turned to leasing it for $1200 a week.
The 647sq m property was built by Murwillumbah builder Ron Sutton in 2006 and designed by Sydney architect Virginia Kerridge.
North Estate Agents sales consultant Sandra Ross is marketing the property and said Ms Page never lived in the home as it was always intended to be an investment.
“It has been a permanent rental for many years,” Ms Ross said.
“After every lease Ms Page’s team would come in and resand the timber and paint the property.”
Ms Ross said the five-bedroom, five-bathroom home was one of the standout properties in the street.
“Katie Page has worked on many property projects and is accustomed to using quality materials that are very expensive,” she said.
“She doesn’t have a limit to how much she spends on materials and this house is no exception.”
The property features a 12m lap pool which looks to parkland and out to the beach.
Inside, timber flooring, louvres, floor-to-ceiling windows and stone features stand out.
The kitchen has European appliances and an island bench topped with marble.
An $8000 barbecue designed by Jeppe Utzon, the grandson of Sydney Opera House architect Jorn Utzon, is integrated into the terrace.
Ms Page bought the land for $775,000 in June, 2003 through her company K Page Pty Ltd.
Ms Ross said the neighbouring house was similar as it was also built by Ms Page.
“Ms Page used the same builders and architects and sold it for $4 million in 2008,” Ms Ross said.
Ms Page was unavailable for comment.
