A new rooftop bar inspired by Miami, Florida is set to open in the heart of Surfers Paradise.

Lulu Rooftop and Bar is under construction on the upper level of The Yankee’s Restaurant & Bar on Orchid Ave.

Lulu venue manager Steve Csutoros said they were inspired by Miami and would blend an art deco style with the “beachside charm of the Gold Coast”.

“Lulu is set to become the ultimate destination for those seeking a lively, party-focused atmosphere with a touch of retro glam,” he said.

Mr Csutoros said the project had been in the works for the past year.

“We’re thrilled to finally announce the arrival of Lulu Rooftop and Bar,” he said.

“It’s a culmination of months of hard work and dedication from our entire time.”

Mr Csutoros said Surfers Paradise was the “perfect blend of tourist appeal and local charm”.

The new venue will feature a frose (frozen rose wine) wall, Sunday brunches, live entertainment and DJs.

“The frose wall will be a star attraction with a variety of frozen cocktails and fun flavours alongside classic and signature cocktails,” he said.

“From sun-drenched days with laid-back house tempos, leading guests into peak sunset nu-disco sessions and finishing with a late-night, high-octane landscape of house and tech house headliners.”

The rooftop bar will accommodate 279 guests and is tipped to open in spring.
