Major gridlock is impacting a busy Brisbane road after a car crashed into a traffic light during peak-hour this morning.
Commuters are being warned of major delays inbound on Stafford Road after the crash at the intersection of Richmond St and Stafford Rd, Gordon Park, around 6.30am.
Paramedics took a man aged in his 50s to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition with leg pain.
Traffic gridlock is currently back up to Trouts Rd, Everton Park with police on scene.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said there appeared to be some wires that were exposed, with technicians called to fix.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area.
