Man chases teens attempting to break into his house

Two teens had the fright of their lives while attempting a break-in at a luxurious Gold Coast home at the weekend, when they were instead chased down the street by a shirtless professional fighter.

Gold Coast professional fighter Casey Caswell said early Sunday morning he woke up to an alert on his phone from his security motion cameras at his Benowa Waters home.

Fellow fighter Demsey McKean, a friend of the Australasian fighting champion, shared the security video of the teens being chased down the street.

“Casey doing what anyone man would do, this is how to deal with low-life rats that try to break into your house,” Mr McKean said.

“Not how Casey Caswell wanted to start his early Sunday morning no doubt.

“Woke up to see two thieves walking around his car and front property about to jump the fence. So he ran out there and chased them off down the road.

“He didn’t catch them and no one was harmed.

“My mate is a professional fighter and an Australasian champion, they picked the wrong house to mess with.”

The video shows a clearly enraged Mr Caswell running out into his front yard shirtless and yelling at the teens – who were rightfully terrified.

The account included Mr Caswell yelling “come on you little c***s,” at the teens.

“They were teens and he lives in a nicer neighbourhood so they would get targeted more often than not … plus Gold Coast is ripe for it,” Ipswich-based Mr McKean said.

“The tall one was older and had a knife.

“They were spotted at another house in the community at 3.30am so they were doing the rounds.”

On social media the video had gathered traction with many fed up Gold Coasters taking to the comments to cheer Mr Caswell on for defending his property.

“Not sure they knew whose house they were playing at. Could have ended very badly for them …. just saying,” one local said.

“This is everything! Hope you got them,” another said.

“F**k would have loved to have seen Casey Caswell get a hold of them in the driveway, great viewing,” someone else added.

“Hahahaha yes …. last thing they expected was G.I Joe running at them,” one commenter said.

Queensland Police have been contacted for comment.

It is understood no charges have been laid.
