Police are investigating after a teen boy was found lying in the middle of the road with serious injuries following an assault south of Brisbane overnight.

Police are investigating after a teen boy was found in the middle of the road with serious injuries following an assault south of Brisbane overnight.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Alamein Street and Savages Parade at Beenleigh around 11pm.
Police then found a 17-year-old Beenleigh boy who had sustained serious injuries.
He was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
Police are appealling for public assistant and are asking for any witnesses or anyone with footage of the area, including dashcam and CCTV, to contact them.
Investigations are ongoing.
