Two motorcyclists have died on South East Queensland roads within the space of a couple of hours on Thursday.
One rider collided with a sedan in peak-hour traffic on Kingston Rd and Reserve Rd at Slacks Creek in Logan just after 5pm.
The stretch of road is notorious for accidents and is not far from one of the southeast’s worst intersections at Kingston and Wembley roads.
Police said family members were being notified.
Multiple crews were called with road diversions in place between Kingston Rd, Park Rd and Wembley Rd.
Ewing Rd at Logan Central was heavily congested in both directions as the traffic was diverted away from Kingston Rd.
Motorists were still being advised to avoid the area after 7pm.
Earlier at Richlands in Brisbane’s southwest, a 37-year-old Redbank Plains man died when he struck a sedan travelling in the opposite direction on Pine Rd.
The man died a short time later at Princess Alexandra Hospital, while the driver of the sedan was not physically injured.
Investigators are appealing for dashcam vision or any witnesses who have not spoken with investigators to contact police.
