The former partner of slain bikie Shane Bowden said there was no loyalty with today’s younger “Nike bikies”.
Trudi McPhee, who has a child with Bowden, said young bikie members were ruthless.
Without talking about matters before the courts, Ms McPhee said Finks were very disappointed in recent developments in bikie culture.
“Back in the old days you had a brotherhood. Today you don’t.
“But there is a rat among them as there is no loyalty in clubs anymore and no brotherhood.
“These young Nike bikies are ruthless.”
Ms McPhee who works as an accountant in Victoria, said she was surprised at the “crazy” number of people arrested in relation to death of her partner.
Bowden, 47, was gunned down and killed at a house in Pimpama in October last year after he “patched over” from the Finks to the Mongols.
On the weekend, police arrested eight people and today a 37-year-old Wanora man was charged with murder and is expected to face Brisbane Magistrates Court.
Ms McPhee said police had worked tirelessly to find her former partner’s murderers.
“I am very happy with the work QPS are doing along with CIB and Taskforce have put in many hours in looking for everyone involved and I would like to thank them,” she said.
“The murder of Shane is bigger than the police first thought.”
