A Logan Reserve man will remain in custody after he appeared in court for allegedly shooting a teenage girl and ramming two cars during a recent series of road rage incidents.
Joseph James Milanov, 30, was arrested and charged at the weekend in relation to two traffic incidents in Drewvale and Browns Plains.
His matter was briefly mentioned in Richlands Magistrates’ Court today, May 8. His lawyer made no application for bail.
Police will allege Milanov was driving a Toyota LandCruiser on the Logan Mwy in Drewvale on the evening of April 25 when he allegedly rammed into the back of a Ford Focus.
They will further allege he then fired a weapon towards the occupants of the other car.
The teenage female passenger suffered minor injury to her leg from a projectile.
Six days later, Milanov is alleged to have collided with another Ford Focus which was parked on Grand Plaza Drive in Browns Plains.
Police alleged Milanov was believed to have mistaken this second car for the car from the April 25 incident.
During the second incident on May 1, Milanov is alleged to have been driving the same Toyota LandCruiser and to have driven away after the collision around 12.30pm.
Police later found Milanov at a Regents Park home. He was taken into custody without incident.
Police found three firearms including a shortened shotgun inside the home, according to a police spokesperson.
Milanov was charged with two counts each of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, disqualified driving and failing to provide details at traffic crash.
He was also charged with one count each of discharging a weapon in a public place, carrying a loaded weapon in public place and unlawful wounding.
Defence lawyer Tamara Lawton requested that a brief of evidence be provided to the defence.
The matter was adjourned for further mention at Richlands Magistrates’ Court on August 7.
Milanov was remanded in custody.
