A two-day search of bayside bushland for a missing Toowoomba motorcycle rider has ended after the man was found alive near a popular shooting range.

Police were unable to release more details but said the 43-year-old man was taken to a Brisbane hospital after he was found in bushland near the Belmont Shooting Complex on Old Cleveland Rd at Belmont on Monday afternoon.

A massive air and ground search was launched in and around Capalaba for the man, reported missing after riding off from a Cambooya property on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle on Saturday, when his family reported him missing.

The search was stepped up on Monday morning after his motorbike was found on Chelsea Rd in Ransome.

The distinctive Harley-Davidson was found in a relatively secluded area, prompting immediate concern.

The search effort included police calls for CCTV footage of the area over the weekend with police helicopters scouring nearby Tingalpa creek areas and dense bushland for any signs of the Toowoomba father.

Facebook posts suggested that CCTV footage may have picked up images of the man at some places in and around Wynnum over the weekend including a pizza restaurant.

Police said all emergency services had been called in to help scour the bushland area around Chelsea Rd, a fairly up-market suburb dominated by homes on acreage.
