A party spokesman said the email did not originate from the LNP.

“There have been reports of a phishing / scam email that makes reference to the LNP,” he said.

“People were informed of the scam as soon as it was brought to our attention and asked to delete the email.

“Immediate steps were taken to contact the IT service provider to investigate this matter further.”
