IT is not every day a pod of dolphins joins you for a surf.
But that's exactly what happened to these lucky two surfers at Snapper Rocks yesterday afternoon.
The pair were surfing at around 1pm when the dolphins appeared, seemingly not bothered by the men as they swam under their boards.
Molendinar resident Sara Patrick was at the nearby Point Danger lookout with her children Emily, 8, and Seth, 4, and managed to capture the delightful sight on camera.
"I do a bit of beach photography as a hobby, but I was so excited to see so many dolphins," she said.
"They were swimming right under the surfers and as soon as the guys saw them they stopped surfing and just floated around looking at the dolphins."
Ms Patrick said the dolphins soon travelled further north, while another pod of dolphins swam nearby.
"There was another group of them a bit further south, but we couldn't see them as clearly," she said.
