A family has been left in shock and traumatised after a stolen car crashed into them, leaving their vehicle in a crumpled mess.

A family has been left in shock and traumatised after a stolen car crashed into them, leaving their vehicle in a crumpled mess.
Gold Coast police were called to the intersection of Advancetown Road and Nerang-Murwillumbah Road at 3.40pm on Tuesday.
They said a stolen silver Volkswagen Amarok crash into a red Mazda 3 after they attempted to turn onto Nerang-Murwillumbah Road.
The Volkswagen was stolen from Peterson Ave Southport on October 3.
Gold Coast resident Kylie Marks said her husband and family were inside the red Mazda.
Pictures of the crash show the Mazda’s bonnet completely smashed into the windscreen.
With the family in shock and their car in pieces scattered across the road, they watched the the driver of the Volkswagen ute crash into an embankment and flee the scene.
“Thank you to everyone who helped out this afternoon,” Ms Marks said.
“To the bystanders who took care of my partner, thank you.”
She said her husband was treated in a stable condition at Gold Coast University Hospital.
“To everyone who was there for my children in this time, also a massive thank you,” Ms Marks said.
A Gold Coast Police spokesperson said there had been no arrests made.
“If anyone has any footage from around the Advancetown area at 3.40pm to 3.50pm please let me know,” Ms Marks said.
