A NEW list has revealed the Gold Coast suburbs you’re most likely to spot a koala in.
Palm Beach councillor Daphne McDonald has shared a list with her social media followers which shows the city’s southern suburbs are koala hotpots.
There were 615 koala sightings across the city in 2018.

Topping the list of 46 suburbs was Elanora with 77 sightings, followed by Burleigh Heads on 58 and Tallebudgera on 57.
Other high-placed suburbs include Clagiraba, Helensvale and Bonogin.
The suburbs with the fewest sightings were Palm Beach, Burleigh Waters, Biggera Waters and Gaven.
It comes just a month after a koala nicknamed Gruff wandered into a woman’s home in Tallebudgera Valley.
The koala had a sore eye and was taken away for treatment.
Currumbin Sanctuary treats around 100 koalas each year which are hit by vehicles on the Gold Coast and in northern NSW.
