Two people have been taken to Gold Coast University Hospital following a two-vehicle crash on Pimpama Jacobs Well Rd in Pimpama.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 1.55pm Thursday where a woman was transported to hospital in a serious condition.
A spokesperson for Queensland Ambulance Service said the patient, reported to be in her mid to late twenties, has sustained significant head injuries.
The other patient, an adult male is in a stable condition.
A spokesperson for the Queensland Police said Pimpama Jacobs Well Rd is currently closed off as a result of the crash.
It is unknown whether the patients are from the same vehicle.
