THE council has been sent a wish list for CCTV cameras at rural hooning hot spots.

Mudgeeraba MP Ros Bates said hooning was “far and away” the biggest issue in the Hinterland with 20 Hoon Watch forms sent to police on average each month.

After talking to senior police from several stations and concerned residents, Ms Bates says she has sent the list to Mayor Tom Tate.

“Local residents have had enough,” Ms Bates told the Bulletin.

Ms Bates said police at both Mudgeeraba and Nerang were targeting the areas but hoons knew they could not be everywhere.
