THE $470 million first stage of the Coomera Town Centre is on track to open just one year from now.
The northern Gold Coast’s largest shopping centre is now well under construction and has reached it’s latest milestone, despite a recent spate of wet weather.

TOWN CENTRE’S $1 BILLION DOMINO EFFECT
It is expected to open in the final quarter of 2018, right in time for the Christmas rush.
More than half the concrete slabs, which the centre’s structure will be built on, have now been poured, including the underground carpark.
Concrete pouring will continue this week on the roof of the Woolworths supermarket and the ramp for the rooftop carpark, which will be completed in coming weeks.
Another ramp recently completed was one which will lead to the rooftop carpark of the Kmart, while the roof of the retail chain’s new location will be completed soon.
The steel frame of the cinema building has been built, giving audiences a clear view of where the rows of seating will be placed in front of the screen.
The centre will feature 140 speciality shops, including Woolworths, Coles, Kmart, Target and a cinema.
The 59,000 sqm site off Foxwell Road will be transformed into a “new benchmark dining, lifestyles and entertainment destination”.
Among its features will be a “bright alfresco dining precinct”, which will be open alongside a fashion retail area.
