It's not over yet, as storms head north

SUNNY skies are on the way for the Gold Coast as meteorologists tip temperatures will also improve in the coming week.

Recent wet weather will move away from the Coast from Sunday evening, according to meteorologist Rosa Hoff.

“(Those showers) will be moving off further to the east,” she said.

“We will still have a chance of some coastal showers in the next few days but it will be less than we’ve seen.”

She added temperatures - currently averaging a maximum 21C - will also improve later in the week, reaching the mid 20s by the weekend.

“It will be warm for June, but not horribly warm,” she said.
