Police have revealed a man has been charged with attempted murder after he allegedly attacked a woman in an incidence of domestic violence.

POLICE have revealed a man has been charged with attempted murder after he allegedly stabbed a woman in an incidence of domestic violence.
Tweed Byron Police said in a statement early Friday morning the man was due to face Tweed Heads Local Court later in the day after the attack just over the border.
Emergency services responded to reports of a stabbing at a property on Tyalgum Rd, Eungella – near Murwillumbah – about 9pm on February 7, it’s alleged.
“Upon arrival, officers located a 46-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man with stab wounds,” the statement read.
“Both were airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital in serious conditions.
“The woman has since been released from hospital and is receiving ongoing treatment.”
Tweed Byron Police officers established a crime scene and began inquiries, before the man was taken to Tweed Heads Hospital under police guard.
The man was then released, but was later arrested by detectives and taken to Tweed Heads Police Station.
He was charged with attempted murder, intentionally choke person without consent (domestic violence) and wound person intend to cause grievous bodily harm (domestic violence).
The man was refused bail to face Tweed Heads Local Court on February 18, where bail was again refused. He’s due to face court again today, it’s stated.
