Gold Coast Titans skipper Tino Fa’asuamaleaui’s long-awaited return to his Robina home ground - his first since his ACL injury last year - will come with freebie Tino mullet cuts.
Fans will have the opportunity to get the free mullet haircuts at the game from the Lost Boys barbers to honour the inspirational Titans captain’s return to Cbus Super Stadium.
Fa’asuamaleaui was eager to see as many fans as possible rocking his famous hairstyle, with shaven mullets or wigs inspired by his hair.
“It’s awesome, it will be pretty cool to see a few people wearing the wigs ... it’s very cool and can’t wait to see it,” he said.
The Titans captain shared his excitement to return in front of home fans again.
“I can’t wait to go back home and play in front of our fans, not as hostile which is good, so yeah I’m excited,” he said.
“Can’t wait to redeem ourselves after round one and the rust should be gone and we should be good.
“Our fans, they hold it down for us, it was pretty hostile last weekend but it’s good to come home and see all our guys that support us and hopefully give them something to talk about all week.”
Gold Coast Titans CEO Steve Mitchell said the club is anticipating a strong crowd for the clash against the Newcastle Knights on Saturday night.
