2/11Professor Alan Cowman, AC. NOW: Prof Cowman is one of the world’s leading scientists in malaria research, and has published more than 260 papers — he is currently head of the division of Infection and Immunity and deputy director of the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute. 3/11Clinton Schultz. NOW: As a proud Gamilaroi man Clinton works to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and also founded Clinto’s Kupmurri food van and non-alcoholic craft beer Sobah. He was named Griffith University’s Outstanding First Peoples Alumnus Award winner 2018.

5/11Katarina Carroll. NOW: Katarina Carroll started out as a detective in the drug squad, criminal investigation unit and organised crime taskforce. She then went on to be appointed Assistant Commissioner in the QLD Police, the fourth woman to do so — she led Queensland’s security efforts at the 2014 G20 summit. 8/11Kate Miller-Heidke. NOW: Kate is known around the world and has received numerous awards as a talented singer and performer. As a classical singer she won the Elizabeth Muir Prize, the Donald Penman Prize, the Linda Edith Allen Memorial Prize and the Horace Keats Prize.
