Police are hunting a man who pulled a knife on a woman in Burleigh Heads and demanded she hand over her phone in an armed robbery earlier this week.
Queensland Police have released footage of the man fleeing the incident on foot.
The 26-year-old woman was walking southbound on the western side of The Esplanade when the man approached her about 5.30pm on Tuesday.
It’s understood he pulled out a large knife and ordered her to hand over her mobile phone.
Police say when she initially refused, the man threatened to harm her and she complied.
In footage the man can be seen running away, seemingly barefoot, south along The Esplanade, then along Fifth Avenue before heading north on the Gold Coast Highway towards Miami.
Anyone who might know the man or have seen the incident is being urged to come forward.
