NEW photos have revealed the aftermath of a man reversing his car into a Gold Coast tavern on Wednesday night.
The man drove into the front doors of Robina Pavilion after reportedly being asked to leave and getting in a scuffle with another man outside the venue.
Photos of the damage show shattered glass and broken wood on the ground where the front doors were before the incident.
The tavern’s general manager Damien Stephen said in a statement investigations are underway.
“The matter has been referred to the police who are conducting their own investigation,” he said.

“Our team is fully co-operating and will provide anything they need to assist the investigation, including CCTV footage.”
After the car reversed into the venue around 8.30pm, the driver fled the scene and a man in his late 20s was arrested at a nearby 7-Eleven by police a short time later.
Police will allege he is the man responsible.
No one inside the tavern was injured in the incident but it’s been reported the car narrowly missed two staff members.
“The health and safety of our patrons and staff are our top priority, and thankfully, no one was seriously injured,” Mr Stephen said.
“Aside from some slight damage to the front doors, we are open to the public.”
