Man suffers chest, arm injuries after jetskis collide head-on at Jacobs Well on Gold Coast

Paramedics have taken a man to hospital with serious injuries after a head-on jetski collision on the Gold Coast.

PARAMEDICS have taken a man to hospital with serious chest and arm injuries after a head-on jetski collision on the Gold Coast on Sunday afternoon.

Queensland Ambulance, including Critical Care paramedics and the High Acuity Response Unit, were called to the “two-jetski crash” off the Esplanade at Jacobs Well at 4.45pm, according to a statement.

A 35-year-old man was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.

Volunteer Marine Rescue helped paramedics retrieve the man after the incident.

The ambulance service initially advised the man suffered chest and leg injuries, but later clarified in a statement the man suffered chest and arm injuries.

August 8: A man has suffered chest and leg injuries after a head-on jetski collision in Jacobs Well on Sunday afternoon.

Multiple emergency crews were still on scene on Sunday evening as they attempted to remove the man from the water.

It’s understood the 35-year-old man suffered injuries to his chest and left leg after the jetskis collided.
