AN eye-catching new building beside one of the Gold Coast’s busiest arterial roads will be a medical centre for women.
Construction of the two-storey Her Medical building on a 472 sqm site on the corner of Southport’s Yacht St and Ferry Road, just south of The Southport School (TSS), is almost complete, with fit-out works underway.
The project has been put forward by Tonikdv Superfund and will be staffed by female GPs with a specific focus on treating women.
The building will have:
•Four consultation rooms
•Three treatment rooms
•Specialist and cosmetic rooms and a reception area.
There will be 18 car parks on the ground floor and a digital billboard.
“The proposal has given special consideration to the architecture and design elements,” a report to council said.
“Articulation, colours and materials and landscaping have created a high-quality design outcome that is an appropriate size and scale for the site’s location surrounding residential sites.”
