THE facelift in the heart of Palm Beach’s central business district continues with a new residential tower planned for a site on the future light rail route.
Developer Potter Howard has filed plans for a six-storey residential building on a 549sq m site bordering both the Gold Coast Highway and Jefferson Lane.
The complex will neighbour the Sable Palm Beach tower and the well-known Balboa Italian restaurant.
Plans filed with council this week show it will have just eight units, with two planned for each floor.

It is the latest in a wave of low and medium-rise residential towers which have been built along the future tram route in recent years.
Light rail stage 4 is expected to run down the Gold Coast Highway from Burleigh Heads to the border.
