MORE than $13 million will be spent transforming an ageing street in the heart of Southport into the Gold Coast’s newest major commercial precinct.
Developer Potter Projects has begun demolition works to make way for the upscale Central on Case precinct.

The new complex will feature 22 strata titled units comprising showrooms, warehouses, office space, self-storage units and a cafe.
Construction of the new building will begin in August once demolition of the existing Case Street building is completed and the site cleared.
Potter Projects director Zac Potter said eight of the 22 units had already been sold
“Various designs and uses are available to cater for a wide range of requirements. We are seeing the positive result of that through the inquiry received, being business owners and individuals from a wide range of sectors and walks of life,’’ he said.
“The development incorporates a very comprehensively thought out design and will be our most upscale project to date. Every tenancy has great access, exposure, ample glass and natural light.’’
The units range in size from 70 sqm up to 180 sqm with prices starting from $345,000.
