Gold Coast Crime: Teenage girl charged after man allegedly stabbed in Surfers Paradise

A teenage girl has been charged after a man was stabbed multiple times in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

POLICE have charged a 17-year-old girl for the alleged stabbing of a man in Surfers Paradise in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Around 4am on Wednesday it’s alleged a 30-year-old man and another man, believed to be his friend, were walking through the Cavill Street Mall when a confrontation took place between them and a group of women.

During the altercation the 30-year-old man received several “puncture wounds” to his torso area and was rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital with serious injuries.

The Marsden girl has been charged with one count of wounding and is due to appear in Southport Children’s Court on September 30.

Investigations are continuing.
