A young boy was showered with glass and injured after a group of men smashed his family’s vehicle during an apparent road rage attack on the Gold Coast.

A YOUNG boy was showered with glass and injured after a group of men smashed his family’s vehicle during an apparent road rage attack on the Gold Coast.

Police said a Toyota FJ Cruiser was travelling along Beaudesert-Nerang Rd, near Bartlett St at Nerang, when it was allegedly pushed off the road by a blue Ford Falcon and white Toyota about 2pm Saturday.

“Several men got out of the two vehicles and allegedly struck the FJ Cruiser with objects, causing significant damage to the vehicle,” police said.

Police would not say what the objects were.

A boy, 4, was showered with glass and suffered minor injuries, police said.

The man behind the wheel, 40, and a woman were not injured.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who witnessed or has vision of the incident to come forward.
