UPDATE MONDAY
A MAN has been charged after allegedly stabbing a man during a road rage attack on the Gold Coast.
Jye Juler, 25, faces a single charge of wounding.
Duty lawyer, Mollie Roper, briefly mentioned the matter in Southport Magistrates Court on Monday where she adjourned the charge until Wednesday.
The alleged victim left hospital on Sunday afternoon.
Jules was one of seven people taken into custody after the incident on the Gold Coast Highway at Broadbeach about 10.40pm Saturday.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said no further charges had been laid, but investigations were ongoing.
All six have been released from custody, the spokeswoman said.
UPDATE 2PM SUNDAY
A 25-year-old has been charged after allegedly stabbing a man during a road rage attack on the Gold Coast.
The man was one of seven people arrested over the incident that happened on the Gold Coast Highway at Broadbeach about 10.40pm.
He will face a charge of wounding and will appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
It is alleged three men were travelling in a car through Broadbeach when they threw a bottle at a nearby car that was stopped at the set of traffic lights between Seaview Ave and Pacific Fair Dr.
A 27-year-old man exited the vehicle and another bottle was allegedly thrown, hitting him on the side of his head.
A group of males then descended on the injured man and allegedly stabbed him with a broken beer bottle in the back before driving away in a white sedan.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said the man got back into his car and drove the Hooker Boulevard where he called police.
She said officers later arrested the alleged offenders at Sunshine Boulevard.
EARLIER
A MAN has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed in the back during a road rage incident on the Gold Coast.
Emergency services were called to the corner of Hooker Boulevard and Pacific Fair Drive around 10.40pm after reports that a man sustained a stab wound during an altercation.
It is alleged three men were travelling in a car through Broadbeach but at the set of traffic lights, a bottle was thrown at the vehicle from a nearby car, striking the back passenger window.
A 27-year-old man exited the vehicle and another bottle was allegedly thrown, hitting him on the side of his head.
A group of males then descended on the injured man and allegedly stabbed him with unknown object in the back before driving away in a white sedan.
Police attended the scene and the white sedan was intercepted on a street nearby shortly after.
The seven alleged occupants of the vehicle fled on foot however were quickly arrested.
The 27-year-old man was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Police said the groups involved were not known to each other.
Three boys aged 16, a 17-year-old boy, and three men aged 18, 19 and 25 are in police custody and assisting with inquiries.
Investigations are ongoing.
