Food delivery company Deliveroo is helping Gold Coasters beat the heat with Christmas “Roos” hand out the popular “healthy” vegan and dairy-free ice cream Halo Top.

5000 tubs will be given away at locations across the Gold Coast tomorrow and Sunday, with another 5000 being delivered to your door when an order has been made on the Deliveroo app.

Deliveroo spokesman Joe Satari said the celebration was in celebration of Deliveroo having more than 150 restaurants join in the past three months and three years of being on the Gold Coast.

“To say thank you to our restaurants and customers, we will be launching the biggest ever free ice cream giveaway in partnership with Halo Top and the GC’s best-loved restaurants,” he said.

Halo Top ice cream has 280 to 360 calories per pint-sized tub.
