Free ice cream on the Gold Coast these school holidays

Grab the whole family and save some serious dollars these school holidays with free ice cream on the menu across two Gold Coast locations. Here’s where you can get yours

Gold Coasters are in for a treat on Tuesday.

Locals can get their hands on free Ben and Jerry’s ice cream in two locations – Surfers Paradise and Burleigh Heads — from 12pm to 8pm to celebrate free cone day.

Ben and Jerry’s Australia and New Zealand operations manager Antonio Khant said the tradition stemmed back to 1979 Vermont, when Ben and Jerry’s began.

“After a successful first year they decided to give back to the community and hold their very first free cone day,” he said.

“Ever since then it has been a global tradition.”

Mr Khant said there were also mystery prizes up for grabs.

“While you’re lining up for your ice cream, there will be a spin to win wheel,” he said.

“There’s plenty of prizes on there, there’s merchandise drops, vouchers and mystery pints as well.”

Ben and Jerry’s Surfers can be found at the Paradise Centre by Cavill Mall and the Burleigh shop is on the corner of Goodwin Terrace and Gold Coast Hwy.
