A shed fire was the cause behind thick clouds of smoke billowing over Surfers Paradise on Wednesday afternoon.
Four fire crews arrived on scene at the Pine Ave, Surfers Paradise address at around 1.30pm, a Queensland Fire Department spokesman said, to battle a fire in a shed at the back of the property.
The crews spent little over 15 minutes getting the fire under control. By 2pm the fire was out and all people were accounted for, a QFD spokesman said.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said police were called to the address at about 1.30pm, and there were no people inside the property.
Surfers Paradise resident, Sara Brennan said she was extremely worried when she saw smoke pour from the property
“Just how quickly it happened ... it was very intense,” she said.
Ms Brennan said she was relieved to hear no one was hurt in the blaze.
