Revealed: Best massage therapist on the Coast

A YOUNG massage therapist has been crowned the city’s best after just two years in the industry.

Massage therapist Kate Morris took out the No. 1 spot along with her employer, Surfers Paradise Chameleon New Age Salon in the Bulletin’s Best of the Gold Coast competition as voted by readers.

“Being at Chameleon has given me the opportunity to become a unique therapist and incorporate my remedial training with my reiki and sound healing,” Ms Morris said.

“I hope these techniques create a healing space physically, emotionally and spiritually for my clients.”

Ms Morris began working at Chameleon in 2020 and said she had learned much in her time there.

“Chameleon really is a home away from home for so many people,” she said.

“All of us that go there are like family and I am so grateful for all of them.”

Chameleon beat out more than 12 finalists to win the annual awards.

Salon owner Bronwyn Corrigan said she was do delighted to have the support of the community.

“It feels amazing because we have such a big community and to know they appreciate and support us. We are very grateful,” She said.

Ms Corrigan, who has more than 20 years’ experience in the industry, opened the Surfers Paradise Blvd salon to create a welcoming space.
