AFTER months without jam doughnut cocktails, Gold Coast followers of a fan-favourite eatery received their just desserts on Wednesday.

Cowch Dessert Cocktail Bar’s famous pancakes and waffles were back on the menu as the group debuted its “prettiest venue yet” at Oracle Boulevard, Broadbeach.

Cowch founder and managing director Arif Memis said this time around they had their sights set on supper and becoming a “premium dinner destination”.

“Our Pacific Fair store closed in March after five years,” he said.

"It was a good run but we needed more of a night vibe.”

While doors opened on Wednesday, Cowch’s grand opening will be on Saturday with face painting and food and drink specials.

“We have tried to make it a party environment,” Mr Memis said.

“The police are closing down the street for us and our executive pastry chef will be carving the words Cowch from blocks of ice to cover the road.

“I am very proud to say the Oracle Boulevard venue is the prettiest Cowch we have ever done.

“The greenery at the bar and the colours we have — it’s absolutely breathtaking.”
