FURNITURE and other items from a popular Surfers Paradise riverside bar are being advertised for sale on Facebook — including the kitchen sink.

According to posts online last week, Cocoon Lounge Bar and Dining is selling a number of items from tables and seating to light fittings to the kitchen equipment and the point of sale register, but there’s no explanation of why.

Cocoon, a hotspot for functions and highly-Instagrammed spot, is the brainchild of well-known Gold Coast hospitality operator Joey Lamattina but he declined to comment on the equipment sale: “It’s a private matter and it’s no one’s business.”

There were two posts last week on Facebook by ‘Andre Jo’ and ‘Mosco Andre’ saying everything was up for sale, available to pick up the next week.

“I have all this and it’s in excellent condition, open a five-star restaurant, man (sic) cave etc the prices are set and realistic so contact us for pricing as I have to sell it all. Lot’s (sic) of equip (sic) I have on hand and the majority will be available for pick up next week.”

Facebook posts from last week are listing equipment from the Surfers Paradise venue Cocoon for sale.

The post is accompanied by pictures of the items for sale, which include tables and dining chairs, cushioned arm chairs, custom egg shaped chairs, curtained daybeds, cube stools, high chairs, custom light fittings, deep fryers, pizza ovens, a point of sale system and register, dishwashing sinks, bar fixtures, an outdoor heater and more.

Both Facebook profiles were created in 2018.

The point of sale equipment is up for grabs according to pictures from Facebook posts.

Open since July 2015, the prime location waterfront lounge bar is licensed by Old School Brother Pty Ltd, whose director and secretary is Mrs Rebecca Lamattina.

Mr Lamattina was also the brains behind well-regarded DJ hotspot Platinum Nightclub at Broadbeach, which was sold after more than a decade of ownership.
