A teenage boy has been rushed to hospital in a serious condition after being hit by a car while riding his bicycle on the Gold Coast.
Emergency services were called to Lambros Drive and Benowa Rd - one street down from Benowa State High School - at 8.35am on Friday after reports a car and bike collided.
Paramedics assessed a teenage boy who had “significant” facial and head injuries before transporting him to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
A Queensland Ambulance Spokeswoman said the boy was in his mid to late teens.
Less than an hour later, paramedics were called to the intersection of Maidenwell Rd and Eggersdorf Rd in Ormeau at 9.15am.
A woman with pelvic injuries and abrasions was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition
