Two lanes are blocked on the M1 and a teenager has been taken to hospital after a crash on the M1.

Emergency services were called to a two-car crash on the Pacific Motorway going southbound in Coomera around 10am on Thursday.

An ambulance spokesman said paramedics assessed a teenage girl and took her to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

At 10.50am, a Gold Coast police spokeswoman advised motorists to avoid the area as two southbound lanes near exit 54 were blocked causing delays back to Ormeau.
