Two men have been hospitalised after an alleged wounding on the Gold Coast.

Two men have been hospitalised after an alleged wounding on the Gold Coast.

Emergency services were called to the incident near Paradise Parade in Paradise Point at around 10.50pm on Monday.

A Gold Coast police spokeswoman said it was believed a fight had broken out between two friends following a mental health episode.

Paramedics assessed two men who were injured in the alleged wounding.

One man in his 40s suffered facial and hand wounds and another man in his 30s had facial injuries.

They were both taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

It was understood neither of the men have made a complaint to police about the incident.
