A man has been hospitalised after an alleged assault in the Gold Coast’s party precinct.
Emergency services were called after reports of a disturbance at Cavill Ave in Surfers Paradise around 12am on Tuesday.
A Gold Coast police spokesman said it was understood two men were involved in the altercation where one of them was allegedly assaulted.
The 31-year-old man sustained facial and head injuries.
Paramedics assessed him and took him to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Officers arrested a 27-year-old man on Orchid Ave in Surfers Paradise shortly after the incident.
As of 8am on Tuesday, he had not been charged.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant vision to call 131 444.
Investigations are ongoing.
