Police are speaking to a man who was caught scaling a crane to ‘take photos’ at Burleigh Heads on Monday night.

Emergency services were called to a construction site on Goodwin Terrace at 6.10pm on Monday night after reports from nearby residents.

A Gold Coast police spokesman said both Queensland Ambulance Services and fireys were called to the incident.

The man, 24 - who had a drone with him - was called down from the crane and returned without incident.

A Gold Coast Police spokesman said it was likely the man would be charged with trespassing and high-risk activity.
