Dear valued subscriber,

Today the Gold Coast Bulletin launched Future Gold Coast – a campaign that will explore the growth, challenges and opportunities facing the Gold Coast in becoming a truly world-class city.

Over two weeks the campaign will feature in-depth analysis and news on a host of issues including transport, tourism, education, health, lifestyle, law and order, leveraging insights from a commissioned research piece by esteemed trend forecaster, Bernard Salt.

The aim of the campaign is to develop a strategic focus for the city as we move into the next decade, with an actionable plan to ensure the city’s prosperity that we can advocate and lobby for on behalf of the community we serve.

Already, we have published a number of groundbreaking stories.

Today, Bernard Salt outlined how the Gold Coast will transform as its population surges towards the one million mark.

The CEO of Star Entertainment Group, Matt Bekier, wrote how there is “much more” the group would like to deliver for the Gold Coast.

And we revealed how the City of the Gold Coast is planning to preserve unique suburbs along the planned route of the light rail when it is extended south.

Tomorrow, in a special package, we will give readers an exclusive first glimpse of the latest detailed plans for a second M1, reveal the locations of seven new railway stations which will be built in coming years and provide an exclusive update on the expansion of Gold Coast airport.

Later in the week we’ll be focusing on the future of jobs on the Gold Coast, how the city is becoming a leader in the health and education sectors and how our incredible tourism offering continues to evolve.

The campaign will culminate in an event with keynote speaker Bernard Salt on Thursday 12 September at Sea World Resort Conference Centre, which will be live-streamed for our subscribers at goldcoastbulletin.com.au.

If you miss any of our many stories along the way, don’t worry, you can catch up on the full series at goldcoastbulletin.com.au/futuregoldcoast.

It’s all part of our commitment to you, our valued subscribers, to fight to ensure the Gold Coast remains Australia’s most desirable place to live for decades to come.

As our slogan says, ‘We’re for you’.

Rachel
