DOZENS of Gold Coast community groups and sports clubs have shared in a more than $1.4 million in grant funding.
More than 40 Glitter Strip groups were given the funds as part of the Palaszczuk Government’s Gambling Community Benefit Fund.
Assistant Tourism Minister and Gaven MP Meaghan Scanlon said the money would go towards upgrading facilities, installing aircon and “getting new electronic scoreboards”.
“Projects like these have flow on effects not only for the people who use them but by the local jobs and industry they support,” she said.
