EXTRA staff have been employed at polling booths across the Gold Coast to manage queues on election day.

The Electoral Commission of Queensland has confirmed crowd numbers will be monitored, polling screens will be placed to “maximise distance” between voters and extra hygiene measures are in place.

WHERE TO PRE-POLL IN COUNCIL ELECTIONS

Voters are also advised to bring their own pens to minimise the possible spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

Booths will be open from 8am-6pm. For more information on hygiene and safety measures, you can visit ecq.qld.gov.au/elections/election-events/2020-local-government-elections.
