THE Gold Coast’s final mayoral debate ahead of election day has officially been cancelled.
The Gold Coast Bulletin & ABC Mayoral Forum, set to be held at Home of the Arts in Surfers Paradise, has now been called off due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The event was set to see all eight mayoral candidates answer questions from the Bulletin, ABC and an audience of several hundred people.
It’s now one of dozens of events called off due to public health concerns.
Forums involving candidates for all 14 Gold Coast council divisions have already taken place. Video replays of all of those debates are available to view HERE.
